About Zanzibar

Archipelago Zanzibar is a group of coral islands located near Easter coast of Africa, washed by the Indian Ocean. The biggest island of this archipelago, Zanzibar, is known for its fairy-tale and pristine tropical life atmosphere and high hospitality standards. The North and West of Zanzibar are endless beaches, where turquoise water crosses the boundaries of imagination. South-eastern areas are real paradise for surfers.

The island is not yet popular among tourists, and you will enjoy individual excursions and activities, such as visiting spice plantations, walking between lianas and ferns in the wild jungles, meeting large Galapagos turtles and even a catching swordfish during deep-water fishing!

Over centuries Zanzibar has been a melting pot of different cultures and religions, which shaped the unique culture of the islanders. Women in varicolored hijabs are bustling on the market, men are smiling from joineries and huts, while kids are frolicking in the salty ocean waves. Our team invites you to feel the unique atmosphere of this secluded region, hidden between coral reefs, snow-white sand and rich cultural heritage.

Without help of the locals in countries such as Tanzania, it would be very difficult to make a high-quality preparation for the filming the TV program. Everything is quite expensive, the local people are not always honest and responsible. Without local guides, believe me, you won’t get neither proper holidays or any quality of good work. I was fortunate to work with Altezza Travel. Thanks guys, because of you we filmed a great program about Tanzania: experienced real hunting with local aborigine, got into the mine and discover the process of mining tanzanites, went on African safari in Tanzania. Altezza team fully took over the organization of our shooting in Arusha (or what to call this region ???). We only had to film our adventures and enjoy life! Thank you, Altezza Travel! Because of you I had terrific memories of Tanzania! I want to get back on safari, but for a long time, a couple of weeks :) Marina Grankina, executive producer of "Heads and Tails. My trip to Tanzania was a memorable one. I think that everyone needs to see the African wildlife through your own eyes, is unlike anything else. Everything is special here: great reserves with unusual trees and unique animals, mode of life of Tanzanians and snowbound peak of Kilimanjaro. So interesting to watch the animals in their natural habitat. They do not pay attention to observers and doing their own things: eat, sleep, hunt, mate and breed – I was able to see all of it and took pictures of the camera :) Honestly, there are a lot of different type of exotic animals. They are different, some species coexist together. Guides were talking with each other and pass the information where some of them noticed an interesting animal, so we were able to see all the animals that have been at this point in the park. My hotel was almost in the city center, which gave me a chance to walk along the streets and look at the lives of Tanzanians. In spite of my poor English I managed to talk with some locals, although they all wanted to sale useless stuff to me. :) However, they gave up after one or two refusals and then just agreed to chat with me. Of course the impression would be incomplete without climbing. Going uphill for 5 days was not only a good challenge, but also a fascinating journey through an unusual area with unique flora and fauna. On the day of the summit we had a trek for about 4-5 hours to the summit camp, then rest, and at night climb about 6-7 hours. It was not easy, but not too hard. The feeling that you are with every meter closer to the highest point of Africa, gave strength. When I saw in the distance a cherished plate, broke into a smile and tiredness disappeared. At the approach I took the camera out and filmed the moment of summiting the peak. I remember that I cried as if conquered Everest :) Read more
