A couple of days ago I returned from my 5-day Tanzania safari tour. I’ve visited Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. I cann ’t believe that all this has happened! I have seen so many picturesque places, so many wild animals! My driver guide Denis Frank Mauki helped me to explore the remotest places in the National Parks. We have met the Big Five Game (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and cheetah), we visited one of the authentic Maasai village. The face-to-face meeting with the Wilderness energized us. We have got a real “adrenaline rush”. We made hundreds of photos worth the cover of the National Geographic (for example, the photo of young cheetahs atop our safari car, which may a Facebook sensation among my friends). My sincerest thanks to the team of “Altezza Travel”. They are real professionals. It is their wildlife experts, who turned my safari into a LIFETIME ADVENTURE. I know already what my future adventure will be – I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Altezza Travel! Read more

I climbed on the "Roof of Africa" with Altezza in February 2016. I spent a month looking for the best company and found Altezza Travel to satisfy all my criteria. I'm so glad that I've chosen them. They are really the number one company in Tanzania. They provided excellent service, starting from initial communication, support in preparation for the trip and summit itself. All our team, five members including a 61-year-old man, successfully made it to the top! After Kilimanjaro I also traveled to a couple of Tanzanian national parks with Altezza. Everything was great. Highly recommended! Read more

As I decided to organize myself a 3-day safari in North Tanzania in March 2015 (Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Arusha), I contacted 8 or more companies per mail. All of them responded quite fast, but Altezza offered me the best program and price. The correspondance with them was always very friendly, personal, clear and fast. Although it was my first safari experience, I was relieved that everything went perfectly well, the minute we went out of the airport on arrival in Tanzania (our first time in this country). We spent 3 nights in very nice lodges, which were recommanded by Altezza. Now the most important thing : our driver-guide Ben! Travelling with him was just perfect : safe driving, sometimes not too fast to enjoy the landscape, sometimes fast to spot impressive animals. He gave us many informations about the animals and the country (I didn't expect to learn so many things!!), but he didn't talk all the time neither, that was perfect for us. Thanks to his patience and very acute and trained eyesight, we saw all the animals we wanted to see and many more... He was very adaptive and agreed to pick us up very early in the morning. For sure I can recommend this company to everyone. Read more

My trip to Tanzania was a memorable one. I think that everyone needs to see the African wildlife through your own eyes, is unlike anything else. Everything is special here: great reserves with unusual trees and unique animals, mode of life of Tanzanians and snowbound peak of Kilimanjaro. So interesting to watch the animals in their natural habitat. They do not pay attention to observers and doing their own things: eat, sleep, hunt, mate and breed – I was able to see all of it and took pictures of the camera :) Honestly, there are a lot of different type of exotic animals. They are different, some species coexist together. Guides were talking with each other and pass the information where some of them noticed an interesting animal, so we were able to see all the animals that have been at this point in the park. My hotel was almost in the city center, which gave me a chance to walk along the streets and look at the lives of Tanzanians. In spite of my poor English I managed to talk with some locals, although they all wanted to sale useless stuff to me. :) However, they gave up after one or two refusals and then just agreed to chat with me. Of course the impression would be incomplete without climbing. Going uphill for 5 days was not only a good challenge, but also a fascinating journey through an unusual area with unique flora and fauna. On the day of the summit we had a trek for about 4-5 hours to the summit camp, then rest, and at night climb about 6-7 hours. It was not easy, but not too hard. The feeling that you are with every meter closer to the highest point of Africa, gave strength. When I saw in the distance a cherished plate, broke into a smile and tiredness disappeared. At the approach I took the camera out and filmed the moment of summiting the peak. I remember that I cried as if conquered Everest :) Read more

We’ve just arrived home and thought we’d send a quick review to thank Altezza and to tell you that we had the time of our lives. We have travelled extensively all over the world in the last 10 years, so we knew for sure which level of organization we expect. First we`ve been surprised with quick and complete replies on my emails. Telling truth this is not easy to work with us, as I changed my mind many times regarding our choices of lodges and locations while planning. Eventually, this holiday became the best ever! We were incredibly lucky and saw the Big Five and so many other things (e.g. lions, hyena & cubs, wild dogs, leopards, giraffes, zebras, jackals, impalas, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, heaps of beautiful birds etc). Also it was a perfect 40th birthday. Tanzania is awesome – those sunsets are quite unbelievable, thank you so much. Thanks to all your team, we’ll be returning soon. Read more

During a month we were chatting by emails with African companies which arrange tours to Africa: climbing Kilimanjaro and Safari. The language barrier, poor description of what we are paying, huge range of prices for the same service from different representatives, created a feeling of scam. Just 3 weeks before departure, we turned to a Russian company In Africa - Altezza Travel, expecting that now the price would be even higher than Africans have. But the price was pleased, Alex was very clear in his first letter, he advised to switch from the Machame route we choose to Lemosho and after just a couple of emails we all agreed and decided to go with the Altezza. I must say that we fully trust on the accommodations provided by Altezza, did not check and did not even see any hotel, which had planned for us. Expectations of the hotels were fully met. We were met at the airport, settled in a lovely hotel at the foot of the mountain. Alex has arrived a couple of hours later, gave a full briefing, checked our equipment, some of the stuff we have was quite old and we have been planning to leave it in Africa after the trekking. 80% of our climbing gear, of course, was unprofessional and did not fit. So we went to the Altezza office, where we were fully outfitted. Climbing Kilimanjaro – is definitely a fairy tale. Neither further Safari or Zanzibar are not compatible with the emotions of the ascent! The experience of a lifetime! And such a starry sky probably does not exist anywhere, as on the Equator. Everything was perfect - meals, tents, sleeping bags and great team. And most importantly - professional guides - Moses and Albert. We left the camp the last to trek very slowly, steadily, however we came ahead of all who left the camp before, made 2 stops for 2 minutes and reached the summit one of the first just at dawn! Such an amazing view! Then we had Safari trip where everything was perfect as well. Luxury hotels, the most memorable of which Mbalageti. With swimming pools, a huge selection of food "at the buffet", overlooking the African savannah. Our guide was very energetic and made sure that we saw almost all the possible animals except rhino. In general, this trip is number one of all, where we were. I strongly advise the company Altezza, who carry out their responsibilities in full, taking care and responsibilities for all those who came under their wing in Africa. We already advised Altezza to our friend, I know, she will be also delighted! Read more

My father and I have just climbed Kilimanjaro Mount with Altezza and everything was better than I’d imaniginated! The organization, instalations of the camping tent and, mainly, the professionalism of the team that helped us from the beggining of the route Rongai up to reach the summit! Especially the guides Elipokei and Erick! Byond the knowledgement of the route, me, as a doctor, could noted that they really knew what they were doing about our health control especially even because my father is 67 years old and reacheted the Gilmann’s point with their help. I deeply recommend Altezza! Read more

It was my first trip to Africa and I had to think carefully before I chose the company to travel with and thank God I made the best choice ever! I heard about Altezza from a friend's friend,so the company already had credit of trust. Throughout the whole period of my preparation process, the managers were absolutely friendly and patient, giving advice and detailed information on various safari options and other things to see in tanzania and quickly answering my questions on what to bring, how to prepare and all those small things you have to know before you travel to a new country which is very far and exotic) Upon arrival they met me us (I was travelling with a friend) at the airport, made us feel welcome in every possible way and gave detailed instructions on our upcoming activities. The safari itself was FANTASTIC!!! I truly loved every moment of it!! It's like being in a TV, in some BBC program, with thousands of zebras and buffaloes and monkeys and other animals around!.. Ngorongoro was my favourite place!! My friend fell in love with Serengeti :)) We also did Arusha park (which is smaller compared to the first two) and Manyara lake.. You have to do it to believe how amazing it is!! And we were lucky with our safari guide who was part of our great experience! We were in the wild and still we had everything we needed to feel safe and taken care of - cold water, wet wipes, tasty meals... And we didn't expect the lodges (kind of hotels) where we stayed at night during the safari to be so awesome! I am very thankful to Altezza for organising such a beautiful trip for us, I know how important it is to be able to foresee all those little things that matter! Read more

We booked this trip through a travel agent so was unsure of the supplier when we arrived. We had a proper briefing with one of the staff and she was professional and helpful from the start. We were completely blown away by how great everything was (tent set up, porters, guides, food, etc.) Our guide Joseph was the absolute best, I struggled on the summit day as I was absolutely exhausted and didn’t think I could keep going. Joseph fed me jellybeans, wiped my snotty nose and most importantly believed in me. He was so knowledgeable, spoke perfect English and was just very pleasant to be around. The entire crew was smiling, welcoming and it felt that they enjoyed their jobs as porters. They really are amazing the way they take all that weight up the mountain. The tent was one of our favorite parts as the dining area is attached to where we slept so walking in between was perfect. My husband is 6’2 and he has never been able to stand up in a tent, he was excited. The food also was great, had lots of flavor and variety. Alpha the cook & Emanuel the waiter were so attentive to our needs, especially me being a vegetarian. The schedule of how much we would walk to each camp was perfect and we felt the pace set by Joseph and Gerald really helped us with a successful ascent. I would highly recommend this company as everything felt seamless, the crew sang a song to us at the end and it actually choked me up! They were incredible people to meet. Really enjoyed this experience. Read more

As a couple we joined them along with 4 others we did not know. My wife has coeliac disease and they made sure beforehand that there would be something for her for each and every meal. Often being able to join in with the main dish and then given something separate on the dishes that weren't suitable. She had no problems at all which is crucial on a strenuous climb as this. The crew were all so kind and looked after everyone very well. The guides and porters were happy to work for this company too and was one of the reasons we chose them. Read more
