Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policies

The following booking, cancellation & refund policies shall apply for you wildlife adventure in Tanzania with Altezza Travel:

Deposit & payment

Classic & Premium Kilimanjaro climbs & wildlife safaris:

  • We require a 30% deposit (by wire transfer or PayPal) of your total tour cost to confirm your classic climbing/safari adventure with us.
  • The payment becomes due within 10 days after you confirm your tour with us. This term may be shortened at our discretion if you book in less than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
  • The remaining balance may be settled by wire transfer (the money should be debited to our account 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival to Tanzania) or by cash upon arrival to Tanzania.

Luxury Kilimanjaro climbs & wildlife safaris:

  • We require a 50% deposit of your total tour cost to confirm your luxury Kilimanjaro climb or luxury wildlife safari.
  • The payment becomes due within 10 days after you confirm your tour with us. This term may be shortened at our discretion if you book in less than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
  • The remaining balance may be settled by wire transfer (the money should be debited to our account 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival to Tanzania) or by cash upon arrival to Tanzania.

Zanzibar beach vacations & local flights (inside Tanzania):

  • We require 100% advance payment to confirm your Zanzibar beach vacations and local flights.
  • The payment becomes due within 10 days after you confirm your tour with us. This term may be shortened at our discretion if you book in less than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival.

Rescheduling your adventure

Kilimanjaro climbs:

  • If you want to reschedule your climbing adventure, we can do that at no charge. At the same time, you will be responsible for any extra payments caused by increases in park fees, which are from time to time announced by the Tanzania National Parks Authority,  and any rescheduling charges, applied by the hotels.
  • No penalties shall be applied if you notify us in 14 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival.

Wildlife safaris, Zanzibar beach vacations, and local flights:

  • If you want to reschedule your safari or Zanzibar beach vacations adventure, we will advise you on the costs. We are flexible with re-assigning our safari guides and vehicles at a later date. However, the lodges and hotels in the National Parks have their own policies. Though our rescheduling requests usually get positive replies, penalties are sometimes (e.g., late notice) applied.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for any extra payments caused by increases in park fees, which are from time to time announced by the Tanzania National Parks Authority.
  • In such cases, we recommend you contacting us in at least 100 days before the scheduled start of your safari adventure.
  • Rescheduling the local flights is, unfortunately, not possible.

Cancellation & Refund policies

We will make a refund payment by the same method you paid us. Please, take into consideration that all transfer-related surcharges (banking/PayPal) will be deducted from your balance with Altezza Travel.

 

Kilimanjaro climbs:

  • We will issue a full refund, save for the expedition arrangements we incurred, e.g., hotel cancellation penalties, costs of supplies we purchased, etc.
  • You will also pay all transfer-related surcharges.  

Wildlife safaris:

  • We will issue a full refund, save for the expedition arrangements we incurred, e.g. hotel and/or lodges cancellation penalties, Ngorongoro Conservation Area park fees (in contrast to other parks, they are payable in advance),  etc.
  • You will also pay all transfer-related surcharges.  

Domestic flights (in Tanzania):

  • We will be unable to issue any refund for the domestic flights you purchased through us.
  • You will also pay all transfer-related surcharges.  

Zanzibar beach vacations:

  • Refund policies depend on the hotel you have chosen. You manager will advise you whether rescheduling or cancellation is possible. We will do our best to do everything with minimal inconvenience and expenses for you.
  • You will also pay all transfer-related surcharges.
